ACR Fellowship is one of the greatest distinctions that can be bestowed on a radiologist, radiation oncologist or medical physicist.  It requires significant contributions to the profession.  An ACR selection committee using rigorous criteria reviews chapter-sponsored nominees for ACR Fellowship each year.  Less than ten percent of ACR members attain this distinction.  A minimum of five years of continuous ACR membership is one of the requirements for ACR Fellowship.  The  ACR website has more information in the ACR Fellowship Guide and section on the Dues Schedule.  The deadline for consideration in the annual review of applications by the New York State Radiological Society (NYSRS) is March 1 of each year.  Applications received after March 1 will be considered in the next cycle, which can add up to an additional year in process leading to Fellowship.
