Residents' Section Report to the

I. Current Executive Committee

 

The executive committee of the resident physician section is now complete with the appointments of Ariel Hirsch, M.D. a radiation oncology resident at NYU as member-at­large and Ryan Lee, M.D. a diagnostic radiology resident at Strong Memorial Hospital. Josh Kern, M.D, and Shannon Campbell, M.D. are continuing in their respective roles as president-elect and president.

 

II. ACR Resident Physician Section Meeting

 

Dr. Josh Kern (president-elect) and Dr. Shannon Campbell (president, secretary of ACR­RPS) are confirmed to participate in this years ACR Resident Physician Section meeting in Washington, D.C. May 10th -15th.

 

III. Resident Career Workshop

 

Plans are underway for both Downstate and Upstate Resident Career Workshops. The date for the Downstate workshop has been set for November 15th, 2003. It is anticipated that a parallel workshop will be run for radiation oncology residents in an adjoining room. Dr. Ariel Hirsch is working with Dr. Bernadine Donahue to create a program suitable for an audience
